Services

Seven services, one standard of officer.

From static guarding and mobile patrols to event crowd control and six-monthly extinguisher testing. Every officer is licensed under Victorian private security regulations and police-checked, and every engagement starts with a site risk assessment.

Uniformed security officers

Best for
  • Corporate & commercial property
  • Retail
  • Education & healthcare

A uniformed officer is often the first person a visitor meets. Our officers staff reception and front-of-house, control who comes through your access points and hold static posts for the length of the shift, in full uniform with photo identification.

Every officer is first-aid, CPR and AED qualified and trained as a fire warden, so the person at your door can also lead an evacuation. All are licensed under Victorian private security regulations and police-checked before they are appointed to your site.

What’s included

  • Static guarding
  • Concierge and front-of-house
  • Access control
  • Fire-safety-trained officers

Mobile patrols & alarm response

Licensed, uniformed patrol officers in marked vehicles cover the hours when your site is empty or thinly staffed. They open and close premises, hold keys, check on staff working alone on night shift and escort them when asked.

When an alarm activates, a patrol vehicle is notified and attends. Your alarm monitoring can be connected so that notification is automatic, and every attendance is logged in the Uniguard client portal with checkpoint scans, photos and an incident report where one is needed.

What’s included

  • Opening and closing
  • Welfare checks
  • Alarm response
  • Key holding
  • Staff escorts
  • Lone night-shift checks
  • Alarm monitoring connected to patrol vehicles

Crowd control & event security

Best for
  • Events & festivals

Licensed crowd controllers work the gates, queues and floor of your event, with event safety officers alongside them. For events staffed by Blue Shield Services officers, a registered POPE (Places of Public Entertainment) safety officer is available.

First-aid officers operate from a mobile first-aid base on site. We also manage traffic and parking, and provide fire warden evacuation planning for the site.

What’s included

Construction site security

Best for
  • Construction, including wind farm sites

Officers control access to the site and guard it after hours, either as static guards on site or through mobile patrols and alarm response.

Every officer arrives hi-vis and PPE compliant and is inducted to your site’s WHS plan before starting work. The same service covers wind farm sites across Victoria.

What’s included

  • After-hours static guards
  • Patrols and alarm response
  • Hi-vis and PPE compliant officers

Asset protection & loss prevention

Best for
  • Retail
  • Hospitality & accommodation

Loss-prevention officers work your retail floor or venue to detect theft and fraud as it happens, in uniform or undercover.

Our Certified Protection Officer (CPO) program covers crime detection, fraud detection and undercover surveillance. Every incident is written up in a report that can support an insurance claim or serve as evidence.

Risk assessment & security consulting

Best for
  • Every sector

An experienced consultant assesses your site, identifies the risks and puts the recommendations in writing before any officer is placed. That assessment opens every Blue Shield Services engagement, and it is also available on its own.

Consulting extends to WHS consultation and recommendations on CCTV and access control. Where equipment needs upgrading, our partnership program lets you spread the cost through instalments.

What’s included

  • Site risk assessment with written recommendations
  • WHS consultation
  • Recommendations on CCTV and access control
  • Partnership program: security equipment upgrades paid through instalments

Portable fire protection

We supply portable fire extinguishers, and a qualified technician tests them every six months in line with Australian Standards.

Each test is entered in a service record kept for your site, so the testing history is there when you need to show it.

What’s included

  • Portable fire extinguisher supply
  • Six-monthly testing by a qualified technician
  • Service record for every test
  • Testing in line with Australian Standards
